In the Name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful

By the Blessing of ALLAH , we have completed the first construction
phase of the first Masjid in Charlottesville , Virginia , the home of
the University of Virginia. The building constitutes of 3 floors, a
prayer area, a multipurpose hall and an Islamic school. Phase 1
included completing the outer shell of the the three floors for a cost
of $ 1.2 million.
Alhamdulillah , by the blessing of Allah , then the
help of devoted people like you over the years , we managed to raise
the entire amount. The next phase will include finishing the prayer
area for an estimated cost of $270, 000. Construction of this phase
should begin in December and we are short approximately $140,000 to
pay for the second phase in full and be able to occupy the building
and hold prayers. Attached is a presentation which shows the recent
construction progress.
Having a community of mainly students and refugees have made it
difficult for this community to raise the funds locally and we
continue to rely on your help to achieve our dream of having the first
masjid in our city. Urgent help is needed to achieve the goal of
getting this sizable community together under one roof to worship
ALLAH, to educate our children, to revive the Sunnah of our beloved
prophet and to have a place to continue to spread the word off ALLAH
to all mankind.Your contribution before the end of the year will be
among your good deeds in the Eyes of ALLAH IN SHA ALLAH, with the
added benefit of being tax- deductible.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: 'Verily what a believer continues to receive (in the form of reward) for his action and his virtues after his death is the knowledge which he acquired and then disseminated; the pious son that he left behind him; or a copy of the Qur’an which he left as a legacy; or the mosques that he had built; or the inn that he had built for the wayfarers; or the canal that he caused to flow, or a sadaqah which he gave out of his property in the state when he was healthy and alive. (These are the acts of goodness the reward of which) reaches him even after his death.' (Tirmidhi, Ibn Maja and Bayhaqi)
